About Mercury Innovations, Inc. Who is Mercury Innovations, Inc.? We are a small company, a husband and wife who saw a need in the quilting community and are working to fill it. Nikki is the CEO; Jason is the COO and inventor of the Mercury Template. With 40 years of healthcare experience between us; we are firmly committed to the well-being of other people. We believe in the proper balance between physical, mental, and spiritual health. Quilting is an individual expression and in many cases a work of art. Many quilters we have spoken with refer to quilting as a necessity to maintaining their mental health! We live in Casper, Wyoming, with our two dogs Bart and Becker. How long has Mercury Innovations, Inc. been in business? We have officially been in business since August of 2004, although our Mercury Template has been in the Design and Development process for two years.
How does the Mercury Template work? To use the Mercury Template, simply cut your fabric strips to the height of your shape. No more measuring is necessary. Center your fabric strip to the engraved marks, and use your rotary cutter to cut through the X in the template. Pondering on his mother’s remark that there should be a faster way of cutting the fabric for quilts including hexagons, Jason kept that thought in the back of his mind. After several months, that thought bore fruit, and an invention was born – the Mercury Template. Over the course of the next several months, the current product was modified into the evolutionary new speed-cutting design you see today. What shapes can I make with the Mercury Template? While the Mercury Template was created for the purpose of cutting many sizes of Hexagons quickly and easily, it will actually cut several other shapes with the same efficiency. 30, 60, 90, and 120 Degree Triangles, Diamonds, Gemstones, Trapezoids and Half Hexagons are also possible. What are the dimensions of the Mercury Template? he Mercury Template is 9.75” H x 13.5” L by 1/8” thick. How do I take care of my Mercury Template? Your new Mercury Template is manufactured from acrylic plastic. Acrylics can be tough under many circumstances, but not all. Because of it’s fiber-optic qualities, beware of scratches, and keep them to a minimum. Avoid dropping your template, especially on its edges and points, as this may break it. Otherwise, wash your template with warm water and a mild detergent as needed to remove fingerprints and dirt. Do not use other cleaners as they may damage or degrade the surface of your template.
Buying and Ordering Information How do I place an order? You can place your order in one of four ways: 1. Place your order using our PayPal shopping cart (most secure) – links are included for One Template or Three Templates, as well as a link to view your shopping cart. We recommend this method, as it is the fastest and allows us to process your order most easily. You do NOT have to have a Paypal account, nor sign up for one. Most major credit cards are accepted. 2. Mail your order (less secure). Use our Order Form by clicking here. Print it out, fill out the order form completely, and mail with your check, money order, or credit card information to: Mercury Innovations, Inc. Personal checks will be held until they clear. Please allow 14 days for this to happen. 3. Call in your order (very secure). As we work our regular full time jobs, this will probably require us to call you back in the evening, so please be patient. The number is 888-639-5140, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can. 4. Fax in your order (moderately secure). You may use the Order form and fax it to 888-639-5180. How can I check the status of my order? To check the status of your order, please go to www.paypal.com. If you called/faxed/mailed the order, please call us or send us an email. I ordered a template when you were using the Quick Shopping Cart, where did that go? We were having issues with the Quick Shopping Cart software not processing information effectively, so we decided to use Paypal checkout for the best customer service experience. Please Contact Us with any questions you might have. Will you notify me when you receive my order? Yes, you will receive an email notification that your order has been received. How long does it take to receive my order? Your order should be received within 5 days of the shipping date; most of our shipping is through USPS Priority or Global Priority Mail. International shipping may take up to 14 days, but is typically 7-10 days. How can I get a discount on my order? There are several ways to receive a discount on the Mercury Template. We offer special pricing in the following circumstances: 1. Buy 2, get the 3rd at a discount. All templates will be shipped to the same address. 2. Templates purchased by educational facilities will receive a 10% discount. Call or email for details (click here for contact info). 3. We offer MercuryDonations to qualified groups. Please see our MercuryDonations page for more details. Do you sell to wholesale customers? Mercury Innovations, Inc is very pleased to offer a MercuryReseller Program. What payment methods do you accept? We accept Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Personal Check (no third party), Money Order or Cashier’s Check payable in US dollars. Is ordering online safe? Mercury Innovations, Inc. is just as concerned about secured check-out as you are. With that in mind, we considered many factors before deciding on a web-hosting site. We have undergone a rigorous authentication procedure to verify our existence and identify us as a company registered with a government authority. Our High Assurance SSL certificate verifies we are who we say we are. For security, consistency, and customer ease of use, we have elected to partner with PayPal to support our shopping cart. PayPal utilizes the most secure merchant accounting software currently on the market. In cases where this is not possible, we will notify you by email of any necessary delay. Does Mercury Innovations offer gift certificates? Cancellations, Easy Returns and Warranty What if I need to cancel my order? If your order has not yet shipped, you can email us and let us know your wishes. You must send email quickly, as we tend to process all packages in a timely fashion. A refund will be credited back to you at the time of receipt. How can I return a product? Can I get my money back? If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, Mercury Innovations, Inc will return your entire purchase price, minus the shipping and handling fee, within 30 days of your original purchase. A credit to your account will be processed within 10 business days of receiving the returned product. You must include a copy of your invoice. Shipping fees are not refundable. If necessary we will send you a replacement product, and a shipping label for you to return the damaged goods. Does the Mercury Template come with a Warranty? Yes! We offer a warranty against manufacturing defects for one year, from date of purchase. This provides a good combination of cost and efficiency for the consumer, as well as providing reasonable shipping rates to our customers. How much is shipping in the U.S.? Shipping for up to 6 templates is $3.99. How much is International Shipping? Shipping costs for up to 3 Mercury Template are as follows: Canada or Mexico = $US 10.50. *Other countries may be subject to additional shipping charges as applicable. We prefer to be contacted by email as this allows us some flexibility in responses as well as a written reference for you!
