A gift from Aunt Cheri to Cheryl for cutting almost 10,000 hexagons for several quilts.

Two Projects in One by Cheryl Whaley
Using Hexagons and Triangles together means NOT wasting any fabric! There were NO SET-IN SEAMS used on either of these projects. The ‘extra fabric’ from cutting one set of shapes, was used for the second project. Can you guess how this was done? This is the first of several 241 (Two For One) Projects which utilizes the Mercury Template.

Projects Nicole is working on – “I need more time to spend with my Janome Quilter’s Delight!”

Jason and I both love Tumbling Blocks and this fabric from Starr Designs is just scrumptious.

Nicole just fell in love with the Gemstone shape. We’re both wanting to make a queen size quilt for ourselves. Add another project to the list!!!
Stars and Gemstone (or Texas Stars) are easy to make with the Mercury Template. These were both made from #3 strips. The center hexagon is 3” from Point to Point. The gemstones and diamonds were cut from the same width strip.
